Joining Microsoft

I am joining Microsoft, India Development Centre on the 23rd of August, 2004. I will be joining as a Program Manager for the Windows team. I am yet to find out the details of the exact group I will be joining. Judging by the interviewers and the work happening at hyderabad, there is a good chance that I will be joining the WinFS or SFU team.

If you want to discus about Longhorn, we must talk :)

Cough Cough! SFU! Good concept, but sometimes MS doesn't know where to draw the line (Cygwin does a great job already!). Longhorn, great concept, awesome marketing, amazing vision - maybe you should be there! Then again, 'argue for your limitations, and they are yours', so I desist rt away from SFU sfutt (err... stuff). (Always hated the fact that MS India is working on stuff like SFU and VJ# (atleast till sometime ago, the site glorified that!)

So, when are you being featured on Channel 9 India?

ps. About that remark about SFU previously, I have a few things to say -
1) Download SFU and work with it (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/sfu/default.asp)
2) Go to www.interix.com
3) Read Mark Russinovich and Dave Solomon's "Inside Windows 2000"
4) THINK
I think SFU is an amazing piece of work and a good team to work with.
