Spam! Spam! Spam!

Pooja was complaining about spam to her thinkingms id. Now I've been getting them - hoards of them in fact. Some crawler has made it through to pick up the email address linked below.

I almost recieve zero legitimate mail at my hotmail account. Here is a sample list of what I've recieved in the Junk Mail folder:

Do I need love? Am I single? Do I need a university degree? Do I want cats and dogs samples (whatever that means!)? And a lot of other stuff that I can't post here for obvious reasons!

Give me a break people - don't you *target* ads any more?  Or do you just enjoy clogging the entire Internet with junk content?  Half of the mails I recieve are just gibberish which don't even make sense. Most of the links (if you've ever tried clicking them - advise you don't) don't work. And even if you read them, they get into an elite database of *valid* email addresses.

I can't even block them - coz they come from different ids each time - most of which don't even exist!

I read these nice cartoon strips they put up on UserFriendly and here is one which was put up a few days ago on spam. It speaks about the impossibility to fight this demon:
